Exciting Announcement!
Career Development Program
Kick off 2025 with a Career Development Program tailored for both musicians and music industry professionals!
Â
The DMV Music Alliance, along with Barry Coffing from We Get Artists, Music Supervisor Inc, and Springboard Festivals, is excited to announce our new career development program including a year-long workshop series designed to empower musicians and music professionals with the skills and connections they need to thrive in the industry. Other components will include networking events, an online learning hub, our Don’t Stop Program, and a year-end professional development conference and festival — all aimed at fostering creativity and collaboration. Other partners will be joining us throughout the year as well.
Â
Barry will kick off the series with a workshop on sync licensing and music placement in film and television, offering invaluable insights for artists looking to break into this space. Then throughout January and February, the program will be focusing on financial management, helping artists start the year strong with better budgeting, bookkeeping, and fundraising strategies. Later months will dive into booking gigs, festival organization, marketing, and more! ✨
Â
At the DMV Music Alliance, our mission is to support our region’s music professionals by providing the tools, resources, and networks they need to succeed. This program is part of our commitment to building a thriving music community in the DMV area and beyond. 📅
Â
Workshops are free (donations encouraged) and available nationwide via Zoom. You can donate here to support these programs.
