About the Event
Your body is your first instrument. Whether you’re holding a mic, strumming a bass, or editing vocals late into the night—how you move (or don’t) deeply affects your ability to perform, create, and thrive.
This free, interactive virtual workshop is designed for musicians and industry professionals looking to avoid burnout, injury, and tension through better posture, breathwork, and practical alignment tools.
You’ll learn how to prevent and manage:
Repetitive strain injuries
Nerve compression syndromes
Posture-induced muscle tension
Instrument-specific wear-and-tear
Dr. Tiphani will also lead you through a 5-minute daily reset routine you can do anytime—at rehearsal, in the green room, or between takes in the studio.
💬 Why This Matters
This isn’t just about wellness.
It’s about sustaining your artistry.
About the Speaker
Dr. Tiphani Jackson is a board-certified neurologic physical therapist and founder of No Lack Community Wellness, an initiative that blends wellness advocacy with entertainment culture. Her work focuses on keeping creators—especially Black and brown creatives—healthy, mobile, and mentally well.
Through DMV Music Alliance’s Local Frequency portal, Dr. Tiphani is now reaching artists, producers, and performers right here in the DMV who may not otherwise access this kind of care.
“My goal is to help you make music without pain—body, mind, or soul.”
– Dr. Tiphani Jackson, PT
This event is powered by DMV Music Alliance Health & Wellness with efforts volunteers and partners who believe artists shouldn’t have to choose between the stage and their health.
