Research

As an outside-in organization, we look to the music community to express their goals, needs, and challenges. Through our Needs Assessment Survey, our “Real Talk” events, and our Ambassador Program, we are able to hear firsthand from the people we are trying to help.

Community Partnerships

It is only as a connected network of community partnerships that we – as a music community – can best support our area’s musicians and industry professionals. As part of our goal to reduce the disconnectedness within our music community, the Alliance is now starting to look at how we can help connect all of the organizations – and their initiatives – together. Let’s discuss how we can join forces.

Shared Services

Our goal is to provide a comprehensive network of services to the music community that is made up of not just the Alliance’s services but also those of other area organizations and service providers. Some of these services will be offered as shared services in order to alleviate some of the time, energy, and costs associated with careers in the music business. Learn more about what we are developing here.

Online Resource Hub

Coming Summer 2023:  A community partnership online portal that will serve as our area’s central hub dedicated to promoting, connecting, and supporting our local musicians and industry professionals.

Professional Growth

Through a combination of online and in-person networking opportunities, our new helpline, our Ambassadors’ outreach, as well as our mentorship and internship programs, can we best connect you with the people you need as you develop your career in music.

Financial Solutions

Between pooling costly resources, our Fund for Music Innovation, and network of other solutions, we hope to help ease the costs associated with your music career.

DMV Music Industry Needs Assessment

Musicians and industry professionals – let us know what you feel are your needs and challenges, as well as what kinds of infrastructure and services you would like to see put in place to better support your professional journey. Your input will help shape the work the Alliance and other community organizations plan to do in the future.

Music Industry Experience (MIE) Program

We help match community partners with high school students, college interns, mentees, and other promising professionals who are eager to gain real-world experience from, contribute their skills to, and receive mentorship in one or more facets of the music industry.

Health & Wellness

Success starts with you and having your health – both physical and mental. Stay tuned for an exciting announcement about health & wellness services including a mini expo – catered to the music industry.

Ambassador Program

Our Ambassador Program consists of GENRE REPRESENTATIVES, CAMPUS REPRESENTATIVES, and AREA LIAISONS. As an ambassador, you would be the voice of and conduit between your music community, the Alliance, and other community partners that offer resources, tools, and events for local musicians and industry professionals.
