Our Story

The idea for the DMV Music Alliance grew during the pandemic when DMV area music professionals joined together to try to help our area’s struggling musicians and industry professionals. Much assistance was needed – financial, as well as the networks, tools, and other resources needed to grow one’s career in music here in the DMV. After many meetings to discuss how best to help our region’s music community, the DMV Music Alliance was launched. Now run by Co-Founder Dani Weymouth, the Alliance has expanded into a large volunteer-based organization consisting of partner organizations, service providers and individual music professionals, musicians, ambassadors, and many other volunteers from all across our region, from various genres, and many aspects of the music infrastructure – all who are inspired to make a positive difference in our music community.
